Description

This is a vintage 1960s Harmony H45 Stratotone Electric Guitar finished in Tobacco Sunburst. Harmony Guitars are known for being the first big American guitar manufacturer, and was started by German immigrant Wilhelm Schultz in Chicago in 1892. Several well known artists have been known to use Harmony Guitars, including Ritchie Valens, and Jimmy Page. By the 1960s, Harmony was selling over 350,000 guitars per year, however the company would face trouble and eventually close in the 1970s. This Stratotone guitar features a hollow body with a bolt-on neck, all made of Birch wood. The pick guards and the volume and tone knobs are made of plastic. The guitar also features a single DeArmond  “Hershey Bar” pickup, and pearloid dot inlays along the ebonized fretboard. The guitar measures approximately 38" x 13" x 3", and is in good condition. There is some scratches and scuffs along the body and neck and some wear marks from years of playing, but this guitar still plays well.
