Description

Ansco was an American manufacturer of camera equipment and film in Binghamton, New York. In the 19th century its predecessor E. & H.T. Anthony Co. was the largest distributor of photography supply in the U.S.A.. In 1902 it was merged with Scovill & Adams into Anthony & Scovill, this name being abbreviated to "Ansco." This camera is the Ansco No. 1A Folding Body Camera that was first manufactured from 1914 through 1926, and was made to use Kodak 116 film. The camera features Wollensak Bionic Lens, which was capable of an aperture of f/4 and a shutter speed of 1/100. The camera's shutter can be activated via a cable actuated shutter button, or the shutter buton located on the lens itself. The shutter and the lens seems to be in good working order, and the viewfinder is clea as well. The bellows have no visible tears. The camera when fully engaged measures approximately 4" x 6.5" x 8", and is in good condition.
