Description

James E. Bramlett is an American artist who specializes in western-themed art featuring cowboys and ranchers. Born in 1932, Bramlett is still active today. This lot contains three limited-edition lithographs of charcoal drawings that Bramlett did in 1982-1983. The first of these lithographs does not have a number or signature on it, nor a title. The artist’s name and the completion date of the original artwork however is visible on the lower right. This piece features a depiction of a cowboy herding a cow and her calf with his horse. The second piece in this lot is named “Tahoe Cuttin’”, and is signed and numbered #133/1000 by the artist. This piece depicts a cowboy riding his horse and attempting to herd a cow that has broken away from the rest of the herd inside an enclosure, with another cowboy on his horse looking on. They are on a ranch somewhere near Tahoe, with the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range appearing between the tall pine trees. The last piece is named “”Jinglin’ The Horses”, and is signed and numbered #133/1000 by the artist. This piece depicts a cowboy and his horse hurdling towards a herd of wild horses on a grassy plain under a cloudy sky. Each of these lithographs come in a cardboard tube, and measure approximately 36” x 26”. Each piece in this lot is in good condition.
