Description

Ted Miller Native American Knife w/Stand. The knife features a brass handle with engraved details and a flat guard with hammered finish, and the blade is made of stainless steel. One side of the handle looks like an owl in a tree, the other side a howling wolf decorated with paw prints inlaid with turquoise and coral. The artist's initials are engraved at the base of the handle. Ted Miller was a world renowned Native American knife maker who passed in 2008. Even though Ted was a member of the Peoria Indian Tribe of Oklahoma, he was known as the Cherokee Knife Maker. He was one of the most significant artists from the area and won over fifty contested carving and knife making awards. Measures approximately 6" long with 3.5" blade, and the stand 3"x 2"x .75". There is a sticky substance on the blade that can likely be cleaned. Good condition.
