Placer Auctions offers buyers the unique opportunity to bid on a range of items from the comfort of their home. We use our proven online auction system to offer a simple, fast, and secure alternative to in-person estate sales. We work closely with downsizing specialists, homeowners, real estate agents, and collectors to quickly appraise and liquidate a lifetime of possessions and valuables.
Most of the action happens on the final day so it is best to watch the auction close live. We recommend setting an alarm for the day the auction closes.
Consider bidding the highest amount you're willing to pay. We'll bid for you, just enough to keep you in the lead. We'll keep your high bid amount hidden from everyone else.
Here's how bidding works:
If the current bid is $50, and you bid $100, we bid $51 for you. If no one else bids, you win and pay $51.
If you can't watch the auction as it ends, make sure to set your max bid on the items you are interested in. Set your max bid on the item listing page. Set it and forget it!
7.75 % California Sales Tax will be applied to all invoices.
To claim sale or use tax exemption, you must provide a fully executed, valid, complete, and accurate resale certificate. Items purchased before we have your reseller certificate on file will not be tax exempt.
Items not paid for within 5 days of the auction ending will be considered abandoned. If payment is unsettled after 5 days, all lots will be resold, and bidding privileges will be revoked.
We accept only major credit cards. Payment must be made by card as we do not accept cash payments.
Please be aware we have a strict 14-day pick-up policy. All items must be picked up within 14 days of the auction closing. Any items not picked up within 14 days will be considered abandoned and will not be refunded. All winning bidders must pick up their items from the specified pick-up location.
Limited loading assistance will be available on pick-up day. Please come with adequate assistance for loading heavy items.
We have partnered with AIM Mail Center to offer shipping to our customers.
Upon request from the buyer, we will turn over your items and contact information to our shipping partner. They will then contact you and coordinate the packing & shipment of your items. We do not pack, label, insure, or track any items, and will not take responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft once items leave our facility. The shipping contract is between you (the buyer) and the shipping provider.
